Bruce Willis goes futuristic in 'Surrogates'

If semi sci-fi films are your thing, then Johnathon Mostow's "Surrogates" is definitely the movie for you.

"Surrogates" is a Disney produced film involving dreamlike human body forms, suspense, and a hint of thriller.

"Surrogates" takes place in the future, where humans can live out their wildest fantasies and most intimate desires without consequences through the use of a futuristic invention called surrogates.

Through these surrogates, one can go about their daily lives in the comfort of their home. Surrogate, invented by college student Laniel Carter, are an unflawed computerized copy of one's self in which a person is in control of their actions without actually being there.

Unfortunately, a powerful weapon, the MacGriffin, murders Carter's surrogate and the anti-Surrogate group, Lundites, are responsible. It is the job of Agent Greer (Bruce Willis) and Agent Peters (Radha Mitchell) to find the killer before more surrogates are killed.

Kudos to Mostow, for a well-scripted movie, however, the makeup could have been better. If a pale face is the definition of perfect for Bruce Willis in "Surrogates", then he is better off tanned in "Armageddon".

The use of sad music was a little over the top as well. I understand the typical sad violin playing in the background, but "Surrogates" took it a little overboard during the emotional scenes.

Despite the little flaws, "Surrogates" just goes to prove that Bruce Willis is one of the most versatile actors in the business today. Willis also had a great cast to back him up! With a cast consisting of Bruce Willis, Radha Mitchell, Ving Rhames, Boris Kodjoe, and James Ginty, where can one go wrong?

Overall, the movie was not the best I have seen, but it is well worth the money when you are not busy on a Friday night.
