Society's morals have changed drastically in this generation. Most music heard daily is set to a 'worldly' view. Christian artists base their lyrics on their religious views which are associated with positive relationships, as opposed to other genres of music where lyrics sing about negative aspects.
Hawk Nelson is not seen very often in the media because this band isn't involved with secular world views. To those who like Christian music, this band is definitely living their life loudly. Ever since the release of their album 'Smile, It's the End of the World,' this band has really climbed the charts on local Christian radio stations.
The songs that they sing have lyrics that include loving significant others, surfing, and songs about close friends. They are a Christian band furthering their beliefs. This band is the total package of fun, entertainment and friendship.
Though this band is energetic they also have songs featured on every album that are serious and have important messages. Along with music, this band has a passion so great for humanity they have recently sponsored with TOMS. TOMS is a shoe company that gives shoes to children in countries like Argentina.
'One Little Miracle' is the anthem for their One Little Miracle Campaign. This Campaign helps to sponsor TOMS. TOM's slogan is "For every pair purchased TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need".
Not only are the songs this band produces climbing the charts, they are influencing lives to a massive degree. The song 'Zero' touched the lives of those dealing with suicide. 'Zero' helped them to see a reality of their emotions and realize that no one is really alone.
They've even gone as far as posting a Hawk Nelson video podcast on YouTube. Hawk Nelson's lead vocalist Jason Dunn is the king of living life to the fullest. From his entertaining podcasts to great performances Dunn is always changing himself.
He is an entertainer that makes you ask the question, what will he do next? Get this; he even parachuted onto the stage during one concert, talk about making an entrance.
Hawk Nelson's summer EP CD, which was released in June, includes a cover song of Simple Minds 'Don't you (forget about me)'. This song was made popular by its appearance in the 1985 movie 'The Breakfast Club'. Their new album titled 'Live Life Loud' was released today, September 22, 2009. This album will feature their new single 'Live Life Loud'.
Overall, Hawk Nelson is an extremely talented and this CD is well worth the purchase. So, live your life loud, buy this new CD, and listen to some encouraging words from a very entertaining band.
