The first contest of the 2004 ABAC baseball season took place Sat., Jan. 31, and ended in an extra inning loss for the Stallions.

The team traveled to Lake City, Fla., to open the season and fought back from an eight- run deficit, only to give up an unearned run in the bottom of the tenth inning. Lake City took the game 9-8.

The Stallions were also scheduled to play a doubleheader against North Florida on the following Sunday, but the games were rescheduled because of rain.

They will face North Florida at home on Feb. 15 and the rained-out doubleheader has been rescheduled for Feb. 26.

The team faced Brewton-Parker JV in Mt. Vernon, Ga. on Wed., Feb. 4, and picked up back-to-back wins in a doubleheader. The Stallions trampled their opponent 7-0 in the opening game and took the second by a score of 4-2.

The Stallions' first home games of the season were played against Lake City on Feb. 7 and a doubleheader against Georgia College JV on Feb. 8. Results of these games were not available at press time.

The team's next two home games will be held Feb. 10 at 4 p.m. as the Stallions attempt to sweep their second doubleheader against Brewton-Parker JV.
